Sparkling Pineapple Rum New Year’s Eve Punch

A New Year’s Eve punch should be bubbly, beautiful, and full of booze. Here’s a celebratory champagne punch that you can mix up in one large batch so your guests serve themselves while you join in on the festivities.

The Pineapple Rum New Year’s Eve Punch Recipe

First, prepare your tools and tableware. You’ll need a punch bowl, ladle, measuring cup, boiling pot, knife, citrus squeezer, and enough punch glasses for your guests. I like to use stemmed glasses to make it feel more celebratory for new year’s eve.

Ingredients:

For the orange spice tea syrup:

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 5 orange spice teabags

For the Pineapple Rum New Year’s Eve Punch:

  • 18 ounces of rum
  • 12 ounces of pineapple juice
  • 6 ounces of your orange spice tea syrup
  • 6 ounces of fresh lime juice
  • Bottle of sparkling wine
  • Bag of ice
  • 3-4 scoops of raspberry sorbet (optional)
  • Rose petals, for garnish

Instructions:

First, make your orange spice tea syrup:

Simmer water and stir in sugar until it dissolves. Turn down the heat to low and add your orange spice teabags. Stir occasionally for 5-8 minutes. Turn off the heat, allow your mixture to cool, and then strain out the teabags.


Next, Make the Punch:

Add rum, pineapple juice, your orange spice tea syrup, and fresh lime juice to your punch bowl. Next add a bottle of sparkling wine, then stir with plenty of ice. Optionally, add a few scoops of raspberry sorbet and garnish with rose petals. Enjoy ringing in the new year!
